Job summary

University of Bridgeport seeks a dynamic esports program leader to recruit, train, and guide student-athletes, aligning with the Athletics and Recreation departments’ mission. The role focuses on academic, athletic, and social success, with a minimum roster size target of 25 per year.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Coaching and/or participation at collegiate level preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in esports.
• Ability to work weekdays, evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to fundraise.
• CPR/AED certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Represent the University of Bridgeport with integrity.
• Promote and support the Athletic Department’s program mission.
• Provide leadership in planning and operation of the esports program.
• Organize training and contests for esports teams.
• Coordinate travel and meal considerations for away contests.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanship within the program.
