Job summary

City of Maypearl operates and maintains the wastewater treatment plant to ensure safe, efficient operations. The on-call requirement supports after-hour emergencies and weekend coverage.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and knowledge of water/wastewater operations, plus TCEQ licenses or the ability to obtain them within 12 months. A valid Class C Texas driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some knowledge of water and wastewater operations.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily chemical and lab tests, records data and readings.
• Calibrates lab equipment daily.
• Makes chemical dilutions.
• Monitors equipment, gauges and meters and records data.
• Cleans and maintains plant equipment and facilities.
• Collects samples for analysis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
