Job summary

Golub Capital BDC, Inc. seeks an Assistant Vice President to reimagine AI-enabled business transformation across the firm.

You will partner with business stakeholders to design workflows, operating models and AI-first solutions, translating strategy into executable roadmaps with measurable outcomes. The role emphasizes governance, security and change management, leveraging AI agents, context layers and RAG architectures to improve efficiency, risk management and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in software delivery, product management, technology consulting or business process transformation.
• Deep understanding of modern AI capabilities, architectures and design patterns (AI agents, context layers, MCP, knowledge grounding, human-in-the-loop).
• Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks, multi-agent systems, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and enterprise search/vector databases.
• Experience leading business process re-engineering and strategic transformation initiatives with business stakeholders.
• Ability to estimate cost baselines and measure ROI/TCO for AI-enabled initiatives.
• Proficiency with software development principles; Python familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to identify, prioritize and roadmap AI transformation opportunities.
• Analyze processes, workflows and knowledge flows to design AI-native operating models.
• Conduct current-state and future-state assessments and redesign processes using AI-first design principles.
• Collaborate with AI engineering, data and delivery teams to translate designs into roadmaps and solutions.
• Develop scalable AI transformation frameworks and best practices for repeatable deployments.
• Develop business cases, value realization frameworks and success metrics for AI initiatives.
• Ensure AI solutions are secure, compliant and aligned with governance and data readiness standards.
• Lead change management to maximize adoption and value realization.
