Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Industrial Division is seeking an Assistant Unit Controller in Arlington Heights, IL (hybrid) to partner with the BU Controller and drive financial planning, reporting and SOX compliance. The role focuses on accurate results, analytics, and robust internal controls across GAAP-based processes.

The successful candidate will lead monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections, and balance sheet analysis, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and developing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Lead accounting/finance role within the manufacturing industry preferred.
• University graduation or professional certification (CPA preferred).
• Inter-company trading experience is highly desired.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct complex and comprehensive financial analysis, assessment and evaluation of financial reporting activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and timely reporting of actual results and financial planning and analysis activities.
• Own monthly reporting and standardization of reporting metrics across the organization.
• Lead the close process and the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Drive balance sheet and P&L forecasting and implement the forecast across the business.
• Manage audits and SOX testing/compliance.
• Participate in strategic planning and payroll processing.
