Bridge Specialty Group in Clinton, MS is seeking an Assistant Underwriter to support the underwriting team by reviewing applications, evaluating risk, and helping rate policies.

You will process policy changes, assist with renewals, inspections, and serve as a liaison across departments while building relationships with agents and insureds.

The role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and a proactive, self-starting attitude in a fast-paced insurance environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years as an assistant underwriter (preferred).
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• High level of integrity and discretion with confidential information.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Passion for learning new technologies and improving skills.
• Self-starter with ability to build relationships and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Review and process policy changes requested by agents and insureds.
• Assist Underwriters with renewal processing and follow-ups.
• Assist with inspection reviews and hazard follow-up with agents.
• Monitor policies for compliance with underwriting standards.
• Answer basic policy questions for agents and insureds.
• Serve as a liaison between departments.
• Participate in projects as they arise.
