Job summary

Bridge Specialty Group is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join our Fort Lauderdale, FL team. You will support underwriting activities, handle new business quotes, issue renewals, and assist with inspections and certificates of insurance.

The role requires 1–3 years in a similar position, confidentiality, and strong MS Office skills. A High School Diploma is required, with Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years' experience in underwriting or a similar position.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Work with Underwriter to obtain required information, complete applications, and issue policies promptly and accurately.
• Provide support for the sales and production process, including new business quotes as needed.
• Issue renewals and review submissions, rate for premium and terms, and issue binders.
• Review indications, quotes, binders, submissions and policies for completeness and accuracy against underwriting guidelines.
• Order and review inspections, verify information against policy details, and issue Certificates of Insurance.
