The Growing Years of Charlotte seeks an Assistant Teacher to support Two-year-old children at a licensed childcare center in Charlotte, NC. The role runs Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm, with compensation of $16–$18 per hour based on education and experience.

Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm

Compensation

$16-$18 per hour; based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
