Job summary

YMCA of the Inland Northwest in Spokane is seeking an Assistant Teacher - ECC to support child development in a welcoming early learning environment. This full-time role emphasizes safety, inclusivity, and collaboration with families.

You will assist with age-appropriate activities, maintain records, follow licensing and YMCA standards, and participate in trainings and staff meetings to support the Four Core Values.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required; ECE certificate preferred
• Experience with children in diverse settings is preferred
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities
• Background checks and trainings must be completed as required by DCYF and YMCA

Responsibilities

• Cultivate positive relationships with children, families and co-workers
• Supervise and engage children in purposeful programming
• Adhere to licensing, Early Achievers and YMCA standards
• Maintain program records and observations
• Keep learning environment clean and organized
• Participate in family nights, staff meetings and trainings
