YMCA of the Inland Northwest is seeking an Assistant Teacher for the EWU Managed Children Center in Cheney, WA. The role supports inclusive learning environments and helps children build lasting relationships with peers, families, and the community.

The successful candidate will assist in classrooms, adhere to licensing and YMCA standards, participate in program activities, and contribute to a safe, engaging learning space.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an ECE certificate is preferred.
• Experience with children in diverse/developmental settings is preferred.
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities with developmentally appropriate goals.

Responsabilidades

• Cultivate positive relationships with children, families and coworkers to support learning.
• Assist in classrooms by supervising, engaging, and nurturing children in programs.
• Follow DCYF licensing, Early Achievers and YMCA standards and safety procedures.
• Assist with observations and maintaining program records as requested.
• Maintain a clean, organized learning environment and equipment.
