Job summary

HMT, LLC in Baytown, TX seeks an Assistant Foreman to lead the site crew in safe, efficient execution of tank-related work per contract documents. The role requires following written and verbal instructions and navigating confined spaces and extreme weather conditions.

You will collaborate with the Tank Foreman, ensure QA/QC compliance, complete timesheets and purchase orders, and mentor crew members toward future leadership while maintaining a positive attitude and readiness to travel 75–100%

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of heavy steel industry work experience, preferably in the AST space.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all employees work in a safe manner and environment according to the Safety Manual and site requirements.
• Coordinate with the Tank Foreman to understand scope and flag potential problems.
• Ensure compliance with all specifications, guidelines, and QA/QC programs.
• Assist the Tank Foreman in managing the field crew and daily tasks.
• Ensure efficient use of manpower, equipment, tools, and consumables.
• Complete general site paperwork including timesheets, T&M sheets, and purchase orders.
• Maintain onsite customer relations and support field operations.
