Job summary

HMT LLC is seeking an Assistant Foreman in Baytown, TX to direct field crews in the safe execution of site work on aboveground tank projects. The role requires heavy lifting, climbing, kneeling, and working in extreme conditions with travel across the U.S.

You will support the Tank Foreman, ensure QA/QC, manage daily tasks, and help train crew members for advancement. A valid driver’s license is required, with heavy industry experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of heavy steel industry work experience (AST space).
• Valid Driver’s License with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Direct personnel in safe execution of site work as outlined in contract documents.
• Coordinate with Tank Foreman on scope and report potential issues.
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC requirements and company/customer specifications.
• Complete site paperwork including timesheets, T&M sheets, and purchase orders.
• Train crew members in tank building and crew supervision.
