Job summary

HMT, LLC has an immediate opening for an Assistant Foreman in Beaumont, TX. You will direct personnel in the safe execution of site-specific work, following contract documents and verbal/written instructions in challenging conditions.

Heavy lifting, confined spaces, and extreme weather are part of the job. A minimum of 2 years in heavy steel is required, with a valid driver's license and willingness to travel 75–100%.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of heavy steel industry work experience, preferably in AST (Above Ground Storage Tank) space.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and POV (personally owned vehicle).

Responsibilities

• Ensure all employees work safely per HMT Safety Manual, site requirements and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Tank Foreman to understand scope and flag potential problems; maintain regular communication.
• Ensure adherence to HMT and customer specifications, guidelines, and programs; proper documentation.
• Support Tank Foreman in managing the field crew’s daily tasks.
• Ensure work is efficient with manpower, equipment, tools and consumables.
• Maintain QA/QC compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
• Complete site paperwork: timesheets, T&M sheets, purchase orders.
• Manage onsite customer relations.
• Red-line construction drawings and provide sketches for scope changes.
• Complete required HMT Data Sheets (roof drain systems, suction, seal data, etc.).
• Train crew members in tank-building techniques; mentor prospective Field Foremen.
