Job summary

Villa Sport Athletic Club and Spa is seeking a Swim Team Coach to develop and manage the Villa Sport Swim Team in a safe, organized manner, reporting to the Aquatics Director. The role requires organization, initiative, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision.

Qualifications include familiarity with the aquatics industry, a competitive swimming background, and at least 1 year of swim instruction experience. Lifeguard or coaching certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with aquatics industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Competitive swimming background.
• Minimum of 1 year instructing swim lessons.
• Coaching experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (includes CPR/First AID/AED for the Professional Rescuer) or Swimming Coaches Safety Training Certification and American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
• American Swimming Coaches Association - Level 1 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and manage the Villa Sport Swim Team.
• Ensure safe operations and supervision in pools.
• Work with Aquatics Director to organize practices and meets.
• Provide swim instruction as needed and mentor assistant coaches.
