Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach to help swimmers improve in our state-of-the-art pools, indoors and outdoors, under the Head Swim Team Coach.

You'll register new participants and assist in maintaining order and cleanliness across the aquatics facilities. You will collaborate on group workouts, oversee daily practices, and support in promoting Life Time products and programs within the team.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of swim coaching experience.
• Must be ASCA and USA Swimming member.
• Must complete Life Time Swim Instructor Certification.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and move about the club.

Responsibilities

• Offers competitive swimmers the opportunity to master technique.
• Runs daily practices under the direction of the head coach.
• Promotes Life Time products, services and programs.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
  

Years of Experience

• 1 year of swim coaching experience
• Member of ASCA
• Member of USA Swimming
• Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs
  

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.
• Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
• Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher
