Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach to help swimmers improve technique and lead group workouts alongside the head coach. You will register new participants and help maintain a clean, safe aquatics facility.

You will advise guests on Life Time products and programs and support daily practice sessions while ensuring safety and teamwork across the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of swim coaching experience, ASCA/USA Swimming membership preferred.
• Complete Life Time Swim Instructor Certification within first year.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Able to bend and lift to assist participants and maintain facility order.
• Excellent communication with guests about Life Time products and services.

Responsibilities

You will help our Swim Team members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. You will work with the Head Swim Team Coach to write and head Swim Team Group Workouts. You will help the Head Swim Team Coach register new participants for the Team and maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
  

Years of Experience

• 1 year of swim coaching experience
• Member of ASCA
• Member of USA Swimming
• Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs
  

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.
• Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
• Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher
