Job summary

Life Time Inc. Cypress, TX seeks an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach to help athletes refine technique across indoor and outdoor pools, indoors and out.

You will work with the Head Swim Team Coach to design and lead Swim Team Group Workouts and assist with registering new participants. You will help keep the aquatics facilities clean, safe and welcoming, and communicate Life Time program options to guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of swim coaching experience.
• Active ASCA and USA Swimming memberships preferred.
• Lifeguard certification or ability to obtain within onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Offer swimmers opportunities to master techniques and routines.
• Run daily practices under head coach supervision.
• Promote Life Time products, services and programs.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Offers competitive swimmers the opportunity to master technique
• Runs daily practices under the direction of the head coach
• Promotes all Life Time products, services and programs
  

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
  

Years of Experience

• 1 year of swim coaching experience
• Member of ASCA
• Member of USA Swimming
• Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs
  

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.
• Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
• Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher
