Job summary

Life Time is seeking an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach to work with the Head Swim Team Coach, writing and heading group workouts and helping register new participants. The role includes maintaining clean and orderly aquatic facilities and assisting during practices in a fast-paced environment.

You will promote Life Time products and services, participate in daily practice sessions, and support the head coach in team development and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 1 year of swim coaching experience.
• Member of ASCA.
• Member of USA Swimming.
• Must complete Life Time Swim Instructor Certification.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs repeatedly.
• Must maintain Lifeguard certifications and renewals.

• Offers competitive swimmers the opportunity to master technique
• Runs daily practices under the direction of the head coach
• Promotes all Life Time products, services and programs
  

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
  

Years of Experience

• 1 year of swim coaching experience
• Member of ASCA
• Member of USA Swimming
• Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs
  

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.
• Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
• Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher
