Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach to support our swim program in a fast-paced club environment. You will assist the head coach in writing and leading Swim Team Group Workouts, register new participants, and help maintain clean, orderly aquatic facilities.

You will collaborate with the Head Swim Team Coach to develop sessions, promote Life Time offerings, and ensure safety and quality of instruction across indoor and outdoor pools.

Qualifications

• 1 year of swim coaching experience.
• Member of ASCA.
• Member of USA Swimming.
• Successfully complete Life Time Swim Instructor Certification.
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to communicate with guests about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs or more on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Offers competitive swimmers the opportunity to master technique.
• Runs daily practices under the direction of the head coach.
• Promotes all Life Time products, services and programs.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
  

Years of Experience

• 1 year of swim coaching experience
• Member of ASCA
• Member of USA Swimming
• Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs
  

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.
• Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
• Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher
