Job summary

River-Crossing-Ymca is seeking an Assistant Swim Coach to help develop young athletes in a welcoming, nonprofit environment. You will support swimmers, communicate clearly, and model responsible behavior in and out of the pool.

The role requires 18+ age, experience in competitive swimming, and ability to work with ages 7–18. Lifesaving certifications will be provided or renewed; coaching at the Y offers growth and teamwork within a community-focused schedule.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• Participated in competitive swimming as a student-athlete.
• Experience working with children aged 7–18 as a coach or educator.
• Must be a positive role model for swimmers.
• Obtain lifesaving certifications (First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen) – training provided.

Responsibilities

• Relate to young student-athletes in the sport of swimming.
• Have a knowledge of competitive swimming.
• Listen to student-athletes and be an encouraging role model.
