Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is seeking ambassadors for Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. The role emphasizes guest service, safety, and operations support, including training peers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred.
• Able to interact positively with guests and co-workers of diverse backgrounds.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs and work overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Develop on-the-job training and coaching for ambassadors.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and park policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform quality inspections in assigned areas.
• Manage inventory and stock; schedule compactor pulls.
• Monitor labor to align with budgets and attendance.
• Conduct safety checks and respond to emergencies per protocol.
• Assist guests and communicate across park departments.

What You Get To Do

• Ensure a safe environment for all team members, guests, and animals
• Responsible for the development of OJT’s and ambassadors by providing training, feedback and coaching
• Ensure compliance to all state/federal regulations, park policies, and department procedures
• Ensure ambassadors receive break and meal periods in accordance with company policy and applicable law
• Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conduct quality inspections of assigned areas, and follow up on any opportunities to improve
• Maintain inventory and stock/replace areas supplies and equipment as needed
• Schedule compactor pulls
• Monitor daily labor to align with labor budget and daily attendance
• Conduct equipment and safety checks in compliance with department and company standards
• Attend to ambassadors and follow park protocol in emergency situations
• Respond to ambassador and guest needs
• Communicate effectively with other areas within the department as well as other departments in the park
• Track information to complete daily and weekly reports

What It Takes To Succeed

• At least 18 years of age
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred
• Able to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, ethnic/cultural backgrounds, and/or language, and individuals with special needs
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license
• Able to lift or move 75lbs
• Able to complete provided CPR/AED training/certification
• Able to be trained and certified at all assigned areas and job functions
• Able to climb stairs/ladders
• Comfortable with operating forklift/scissor lift/man lift/Pressure washers
• Able to operate and maneuver in/around tight spaces
• Able to use heavy equipment for cleaning
• Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations
• Able to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
• Able to train on and properly use protective gear
• Comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor
• Able to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, kneel, reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level
• Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and team members
• Able to remain calm and professional during challenging situations
• Have a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
• During peak season, at least 4 days of unrestricted availability with one day being a weekend day, and availability to work holidays
• During the off season, at least 3 days of unrestricted availability with one day being a weekend day, and availability to work holidays

This position requires overnight work. Must be available and willing to work overnight shifts, including weekends, holidays, and varying schedules as business needs require.
