Maintain a safe and secure environment while ensuring proper operations of equipment. This position will also include leading employees to meet the organization’s expectations and goals while planning, evaluating, and improving the efficiency of the business.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain compliance to all federal, state, local regulations
  • Detail oriented with good follow through skills.
  • Ensure operations of equipment and people.
  • Provide needed resources and training for all personnel.
  • Work closely with quality and safety coordinators, enforce company policies, Communicate with supervisor on a continuous basis along with operational updates.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities
  • Customer relations skills.
  • Demonstrable supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a multi-tasking, time-sensitive, fast-paced environment.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct reports.

This job is a well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office, production setting, outdoor/indoor shop environment or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather

Physical Demands

Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative or production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position may require overtime.

Travel

This position does not require travel requirements

Required Education and Experience

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Minimum education and experience

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency

Basic knowledge of HR regulations and functions

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience supervising unionized workforce preferred.

Some knowledge of HR regulations and functions.

Initiative for learning and understanding Safety, HR, Union, Federal & State Laws & Regulations

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Credential).
