Job Summary

The Assistant Front Office Manager / Supervisor supports the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring guest satisfaction and providing leadership and training to front desk agents. Responsibilities include supervising front office procedures, maintaining quality service standards, and ensuring efficient check-in/check-out processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise front desk operations, including guest check-in/check-out, room assignments, and payments.
  • Ensure excellent guest service by anticipating needs, resolving issues, and exceeding expectations.
  • Assist the Front Office Manager in leading, scheduling, training, and mentoring staff.
  • Maintain professionalism and hospitality standards in guest interactions.
  • Monitor reservations and handle overbooking or walk-in situations in coordination with other departments.
  • Address guest complaints promptly and escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Participate in onboarding and performance evaluations of front desk staff.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor team members' appearance, behavior, and performance to meet hotel standards.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs and ensure room readiness.
  • Maintain accurate records, including cash handling, incident reports, and shift checklists.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or business degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of front desk experience in a hotel, with 1+ year in a supervisory role.
  • Proficient in hotel property management systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
