Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to supervise field construction on a Flagstaff, AZ project. You will assist the Superintendent, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and ensure safe, productive work on a utility-scale solar and related infrastructure site.

The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, and workflow, with on-site responsibilities and direct interaction with Owners, Engineers, and internal teams. Full-time on-site position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Engineering, construction management, or architectural degree, or equivalent experience (2-4 years as General Foreman).
• Field construction experience at a supervisory level in utility-scale solar projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA NFPA 70E NEC safety standards.
• Strong knowledge of job scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret plans for all crafts.
• Valid driver’s license; work authorization in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendent in managing field construction activities and directing crews.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure safe, productive work.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training of field personnel.
• Maintain relationships with Owners, Engineers, and teams through professional communication.
• Enforce SOLV Energy safety policies and OSHA NFPA 70E compliance.
• Support project schedules and material planning; monitor progress and delays.
• Review drawings and subcontractor submittals; support project readiness.
• Prepare daily logs, time sheets, and invoices.
• Assist in turnover activities and close-out packages.
