Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Site Project Planner who, under the guidance of the Site Superintendent and with the Project Manager, develops and completes a detailed job plan for assigned projects. The role emphasizes safety, integrity, and timely delivery of results through effective coordination with architects, owners, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Knowledge of construction processes and building codes.
• Knowledge of subcontractors' scopes and quality requirements.
• Strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Champions Layton Way by delivering predictable outcomes to teams and customers.
• Reviews plans and specs to understand job requirements.
• Develops job plan including schedule, access, manpower, and site needs.
• Procures tools, labor and some materials.
• Interacts with architects and owners to resolve issues.
• Communicates progress to supervisors, subs, clients and project team.
• Inspects work to ensure conformance to specs and schedules.
• Manages project progress, costs, and adjustments.
• Assists in preparing the Project Management Plan.
• Ensures safety policies and professional conduct are followed.
