Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Superintendent in the Boston market to support field operations on high-profile multifamily projects. You will work closely with experienced Superintendents to manage schedules, budgets, and safety across large-scale developments.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in commercial construction, strong coordination and communication skills, and a drive for advancement. OSHA 30 and a Construction Management degree are preferred but not required, with a clear path to a

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Field experience with a general contractor.
• Multifamily, residential, or large-scale commercial construction experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, schedules, and sequencing.
• Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors and project teams.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing construction activities, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Oversee daily site operations, coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, and ensure work follows specs and stays on schedule and within budget.
• Read and interpret blueprints, building codes, and project schedules.
• Ensure onsite personnel comply with project procedures and safety programs.
• Mitigate risk by applying proactive strategies and addressing issues promptly.
• Manage subcontractors to ensure timely completion and address delays.
• Collaborate with project team to overcome obstacles and resolve issues quickly.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify quality, schedules, and safety compliance.
• Report project status and issues to the Superintendent, including client-facing updates.
