Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for our on-site team in the Boston market. You will support the Superintendent to drive multifamily construction projects from start to finish, coordinating field activities and enforcing quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on commercial construction experience and strong organizational skills, with a clear path for career progression toward a Superintendent role on major projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience in field work for a general contractor.
• Multifamily, residential, or large-scale commercial exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Superintendent in the management of construction activities, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Overseeing the daily operations at the construction site, coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, ensuring specifications are followed and work stays on schedule and within budget.
• Reading and understanding blueprints, building codes, and project scheduling.
• Ensuring all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety programs, requirements, and work rules.
• Handling risk management issues by implementing proactive strategies and responding to issues as they arise.
• Managing subcontractors effectively, ensuring their tasks are completed as expected, and addressing delays.
• Working closely with the project team to address obstacles and resolve issues.
• Conducting regular inspections to ensure work meets standards, schedules are followed, and safety rules are followed.
• Reporting regularly to the Superintendent about project status and issues impacting client relations.
