Job summary

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our Large Projects Group in Dallas, TX. This role oversees field activities and supervision of subcontractors to ensure projects are built on time and within budget.

The candidate will support scheduling, testing, safety, and quality control, and participate in weekly progress meetings with subcontractors to plan upcoming work and align with project goals.

Qualifications

• New hires are required to sign up for OSHA courses and complete them within the first six months of employment.
• Experience in construction management/field operations is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Superintendent in managing designated field activities and supervision of subcontractors and employees.
• Supports the project team to ensure the project is built on time and within budget.
• Communicates safety, quality, and schedule expectations to subcontractors and staff.
• Keeps project documentation up to date, including cost reports and progress schedules.
• Attends weekly project progress meetings and coordinates upcoming work with subcontractors.
