Job summary

Clayco is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to be based on construction project sites nationwide, primarily handling field operations, quality control for MEP systems, safety, and daily site management.

The role requires a B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering (or equivalent) and 0–3 years in technical commercial/industrial construction management, with willingness to travel or relocate to job sites. Compensation reflects industry norms with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent trade experience with progression to management levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations and onsite construction management of design-build projects.
• QC for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Plan manpower, procure tools and materials, file permits, and advise on budget expenditures.
• Provide on-site supervision of daily workload, site safety, tool storage, and reporting to Project Manager/Superintendent.
• Work toward advancement to on-site Superintendent responsibilities.
