Job summary

Clayco is seeking an MEP Superintendent to lead field operations on design‑build construction projects nationwide. You will manage onsite construction, ensure quality control for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, and oversee startup and testing activities.

The role requires 3–15 years of experience in technical commercial/industrial construction, a BS in CM or Engineering, a strong safety record, and willingness to travel or relocate.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent trade experience.
• 3–15 years of highly technical commercial/industrial construction management on projects of $10M+.
• Ability to supervise construction employees and subcontractors to meet budget and schedule constraints.
• Strong safety record and commitment to safety and quality.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to the jobsite.
• Creative, results‑oriented with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi‑floor scaffolding.
• Ability to lift objects at least 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with preconstruction, design, engineering, procurement, operations, safety, quality, and project site management teams to ensure resources.
• Direct and monitor MEP/FP subcontractors and suppliers.
• Administer MEP/FP materials, systems, and shop drawing submittals.
• Coordinate MEP/FP RFIs, field changes, and field engineering items.
• Oversee MEP/FP QC, start‑up and energization, pre‑functional checklists, and functional testing.
