Job summary

Clayco, a full-service real estate development, master planning, architecture, engineering, and construction firm, seeks an Assistant Superintendent to base on project sites nationwide. You will lead field operations, quality control for MEP, start-up and testing on highly complex projects, and help plan resources, permits, and budgets.

Travel and on-site work are required. Responsibilities include coordinating with design and operations teams, supervising crews to meet schedule, and reporting

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent trade experience.
• 0-3 years of experience in highly technical commercial/industrial construction management on projects of 50+ million.
• Ability to supervise construction employees and subcontractors to stay within budget and schedule.
• Strong project safety record and commitment to safety and quality.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to jobsite.
• Creative and results-oriented with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to walk unlevel terrain and scale scaffolding; lift at least 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with preconstruction, design, engineering, procurement, operations, safety, quality, and site management to ensure adequate resources.
• Supervise construction employees and subcontractors to accomplish work within budget and schedule constraints.
• Maintain strong safety and quality on projects.
• Travel or relocate to jobsite as required.
• Educate oneself on site Superintendent and Operations Manager duties to progress.
