Job summary

Clayco is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to manage field operations on design-build construction projects nationwide. You will oversee on-site activities, supervise teams, and ensure safety and quality are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering, 0–3 years of experience on large-scale projects, and a readiness to travel or relocate to job sites.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering required.
• 0–3 years of experience in highly technical commercial/industrial construction management on projects of 50+ million.
• Ability to supervise construction employees and subcontractors within budget and schedule constraints.
• Strong safety record and commitment to quality and safety.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to jobsite; ability to navigate unlevel terrain and lift at least 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with preconstruction, design, engineering, procurement, operations, safety, quality, and site management teams to ensure adequate resources.
• Supervise construction workers and subcontractors to meet budget and schedule objectives.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality on all sites.
• Travel or relocate to jobsite as required to support projects nationwide.
• Educate oneself on site Superintendent and Operations Manager duties to progress toward becoming a Superintendent.
