Job summary

Martin Concrete Construction in Georgia is seeking a Foreman to support the Superintendent and Project Manager on multiple projects. The role involves guiding safety, quality, and schedule from pre-construction through closeout, and coordinating with field teams and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate will read plans, manage RFIs/ASIs, and maintain project records while fostering professional relationships with clients and authorities. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Foreman, or equivalent role, in the construction industry.
  • Understanding of the construction industry, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, building trades and sequence of work, and relevant technology.
  • Ability to read plans and specifications.
  • Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.

  • Assist with job site logistics, field coordination, and project scheduling.
  • Review project documents and shop drawings for constructability and content.
  • Maintain and update project records, including RFIs, ASIs, and as-builts.

  • Support the Superintendent and Project Manager in successfully completing assigned projects
  • Assist with managing job site safety, quality, and schedule from pre-construction through closeout
  • Champion Martin Concrete Construction’s safety culture with project teams and subcontractors
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager, project team members, and field personnel
  • Represent Martin Concrete professionally
  • Assist in managing the field and project team
  • Establish and maintain relationships and communication with clients, Construction Managers, project teams, consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, communities, and governmental agencies
  • Assist with job site logistics, field coordination, and project scheduling
  • Review project documents and shop drawings for constructability and content
  • Maintain and update project records, including RFIs, ASIs, and as-builts
  • Assist with creating and enforcing site‑specific emergency action plans
  • Coordinate subcontractors, building inspections, subcontractor inspections, and agencies
  • Perform daily job site walks and submit weekly safety audit reports with the Superintendent
  • Conduct and/or attend foreman, pre-task, safety, and project staff meetings
  • Assist with managing job site manpower production and performance
  • Use project management and scheduling software effectively
  • Attend company and industry events, meetings, trainings, and workshops
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or needed
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Foreman, or equivalent role, in the construction industry
  • Understanding of the construction industry, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, building trades and sequence of work, and relevant technology
  • Ability to read plans and specifications
  • Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
  • Ability to walk, climb stairs, sit, and stand
  • Ability to talk and hear at normal levels
  • Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision; ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate tools and other business machines
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in heat, humidity, cold, fumes, airborne particles, dust, asphalt, loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and occasional toxic or caustic chemicals
  • Ability to work with potential electrical shock and vibration hazards
  • Occasional travel required
