Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to greet guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role trains under Elite or Master Stylists for the first 3 months, focusing on guest service, productivity, and learning new techniques.

After month four, you will begin servicing guests of your own while continuing professional development, with an emphasis on delivering an exceptional total-look experience.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Strong knowledge of latest salon techniques (cutting, color, styling, makeup).
• Ability to recommend and sell professional hair care and makeup products.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and consult on hair care needs.
• Assist with services under mentor until capable of servicing guests independently (after 3 months).
• Perform product demonstrations to drive sales.
• Support in-store events and promotions to enhance guest experience.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
