Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; able to read, interpret and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record-keeping including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; foster positive work environment.
• Ensure professional, friendly interactions with customers, associates and leaders.
• Support cleanliness and maintenance of bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
