Job summary

Dollar Tree in Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, support customer service, and develop the store team.

Responsibilities include assisting with merchandise flow, opening and closing duties, cash handling, scheduling, loss prevention, and maintaining a safe, clean, and inviting shopping environment for customers and associates alike. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent movement and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash handling) and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness; bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall store presentation.
