Job summary

Dollar Tree in Miami Gardens is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will support opening and closing procedures and ensure daily tasks run smoothly.

You will supervise and train store associates, organize merchandise, protect assets, and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment while delivering friendly, efficient service to customers. Dollar Tree is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise and maintain stockroom and sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and ensure compliance with store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked and orderly store and stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
