Job summary

Dollar Tree in Miami, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, provide outstanding customer service, and develop the team. You will assist with merchandising, daily tasks, opening/closing, and adherence to corporate directives.

You will oversee payroll/scheduling, loss prevention, and store safety while maintaining clean, well-stocked sales floors and organized stockrooms. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas clean, stocked, and presentable according to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and follow safety policies.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
