Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service excellence, and team development at our Miami, FL location. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise movement, and frontline leadership to ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Retail store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties (standing, walking, stooping, bending).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping incl. payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restock as needed.
