ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Ballentine, SC. This full-time role involves supervising daily store activities, optimizing performance, managing schedules, and developing operational plans.

You will identify training opportunities, supervise teams, and uphold company policies while ensuring top‑notch customer service. The position offers a starting wage of $25.50 per hour with a $26.50 raise in year 2, averaging 38 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of progressive retail experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and payroll awareness.
• Meets state/local requirements for handling alcohol where applicable.

Responsabilités

• Assist store leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identify training opportunities to improve team performance.
• Model company values and promote teamwork among employees.
• Monitor competitive environment and advise adjustments to maintain position.
• Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Ensure inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies are followed.
• Resolve customer concerns in the direct leader’s absence.
• Maintain store cleanliness and proper signage.
• Maintain stock levels through product ordering.
• Merchandise products neatly to maximize sales.
• Ensure product quality and accurate signage.
• Assist with payroll and loss prevention initiatives.
• Supervise day-to-day team operations and escalate issues when needed.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities and high levels of customer service.
