Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Georgia LLC in Thomasville, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and develop the store team. You’ll support merchandise flow, open and close procedures, and ensure displays meet company standards.

You will assist in staffing, scheduling, loss prevention, and safety compliance while maintaining a clean, inviting sales floor and organized stockroom to uphold our standards and customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent manual tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Create a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, trash, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
