Dollar General is looking for an Assistant Store Manager in Lima, OH to support the Store Manager in daily operations, supervise staff, handle cashier duties, and ensure proper merchandise presentation and inventory control.

You will assist in scheduling, training, safety meetings, and enforcing policies while protecting company assets and maximizing profits. This role requires leadership in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Knowledge of cash handling policies including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money.

Responsabilidades

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise: receiving, unpacking, stocking, restocking and displaying.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and control damages, markdowns and deposits.
• Assist in planogram implementation and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure cash accountability and deposits; sign for refunds/overrides and count tills.
• Assist in store management in Store Manager's absence.
