Job summary

Lids Sports Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead sales, customer service, and team performance in our Austin store. You’ll coach associates, uphold brand standards, and drive KPIs while delivering an exceptional in-store experience.

In this role you’ll manage scheduling, merchandising, inventory, and store operations, ensuring policy compliance and a welcoming, inclusive environment. Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll help develop careers within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to achieve sales targets while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional communication.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints when Store Manager is not present.
• Lead and coach store associates through LIDS Training Programs and set goals for sales and tasks.
• Administer progressive discipline steps including verbal and written warnings when Store Manager is absent.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive team environment and adhere to Lids Brand Standards.
• Schedule and staff the store including calling in associates during peak times.
• Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on proper operations and procedures.
• Encourage compliance with company policies and safeguard inventory, funds, and property.
• Lead, execute and assist selling strategy to hit KPIs and sales targets, delivering exceptional customer service.
• Resolve customer feedback and escalations to ‘make it right’ for customers.
• Adhere to visual guidelines, merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
• Maintain cash handling procedures, open/close tills, and conduct bank deposits.
• Prepare store for inventory audits and support as needed.
• Open and close the store following standard operating procedures.
