Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, customer service, and team development at our Lake Park location. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, supervise associates, and help maintain clean, safe conditions while supporting the Store Manager.

You will be responsible for opening/closing procedures, merchandising, payroll/scheduling tasks, and ensuring a professional, welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and interpret operational directives such as merchandise schematics.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, bending, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Lead and develop Store Associates and supervise staff.
