Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Forest Park location. You will assist with daily store functions, greet customers, coordinate merchandising, and help the Store Manager supervise and train associates.

You will also handle opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling tasks, and ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment while maintaining high standards of customer service and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing associates.
