Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development at our Redford, MI location.

You will assist with day-to-day store activities, supervise associates, and help maintain clean, well-stocked sales floors and stockrooms while upholding company policies. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior store management experience in retail or grocery, and strong communication, problem-solving, and customer

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment.
• Customer service, organizational and problem-solving abilities essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support store directives and related communications.
• Maintain fixtures and displays and ensure promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash deposits and receipts.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized in line with company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, including bathrooms, floors, and waste removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
