Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Redford, MI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily operations, assist customers, and develop team members. This role supports the Store Manager and ensures store standards, safety, and promotional displays are maintained.

You will supervise associates, assist with scheduling, payroll, and cash handling, and respond to customer questions with a positive, can-do attitude. This is a part-time position with opportunities to grow in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits) and loss prevention
• Maintain neat, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Keep bathrooms and store areas clean and restocked
• Other duties as assigned
