Job summary

Dollar Tree in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise moves smoothly from delivery to floor.

You will participate in opening and closing procedures, follow corporate directives, maintain fixtures, manage inventory and records, and help train Store Associates to deliver friendly, safe service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and explain operating directives.
• Store management experience in retail/grocery/drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Customer service and organizational skills required.
• Problem solving and decisiveness required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Follow corporate directives and internal communications.
• Maintain fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and record keeping.
• Maintain neat store areas and secure assets.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
