Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in our Ohio location. You will assist with daily store activities, train and supervise associates, and help maintain merchandise, displays, and safety standards.

The role emphasizes strong communication, customer service excellence, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment. Part-time position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized store area meeting company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure policy adherence by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
