Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, and organize merchandise from the delivery truck to the floor.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, payroll/scheduling, cash handling, loss prevention, and overseeing displays while maintaining a safe, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Retail/store management experience preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform active store duties.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Open/close procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives including audits and communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering, damage processing, payroll/scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, stocked store areas and secure assets.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed by associates.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing staff.
• Foster a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and team.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms and floors; handle trash.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
