Job summary

Dollar Tree in Burnham, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and develop the store team.

The role includes assisting with merchandising, opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling tasks, loss prevention, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and associates. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure the seasonal areas of the store are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure retail spaces are well-presented.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom, adhering to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Support the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and team members.
